Floriferous Ideas: An Ode to Autumnal Sunday Mornings.
A crisp autumnal day, sparkling frost, cornflower blue skies, autumnal leaves carpeting the ground like orange, red and yellow jewels. Autumn is a time for resetting, to rest and renew.
Sundays mornings are long and sacred my little corner of the world.
A little morning moment of no plans made, nowhere to be, endless cups of tea (and coffee) in my favourite (slightly chipped) mug, pottering from the kitchen back to the bedroom in cosy sheepskin slippers. The air cool and crisp outside but warm and toastie in bed hunkered down in the freshly laundered sheets. The three little bears (also known as my three cats) always return to bed for post breakfast slumbers, often curling up like freshly baked pastries. I think these mornings are some of my happiest.

Autumnal mornings feel indulgently guilt free, like nature is giving you permission to slow down, collect your thoughts and dream a little about what is yet to come.
I thought I would share a few things that I am treasuring right now:
A cinema trip to see Paddington in Peru- what a total delight! (not just for children, I always feel a little odd going to the cinema to see a children’s film despite having no children…anyone else?)
Re-reading one of my favourite comfort reads - this time listening to the audio book and it is positively ‘bonting’ (only readers will understand) and I completely adore the Radletts Darling by India Knight
Watching All Creatures Great and Small. A heartwarming, comforting show about the life of a vet in the Yorkshire Dales. This reminds me of Sundays watching Heartbeat with my Nan most likely in my pyjamas drinking a cup of Horlicks or eating a bowl of warm wheat-a-bix. It evokes that nostalgic sense of home, comfort and joy.
Hot water bottles, I am hardly ever without one! The White Company hot water bottles are my favourite, often I do have to share mine with Albus (my cat who has an uncanny ability to seek out and claim the toastiest, cosiest spots in the entire house!)
Writing this little post, my very first! Not sure who I am writing this for, or how often I will write, I am most definitely not a writer! (apologies in advance for poor grammar and spelling) I suppose, if I am being honest with myself, I am writing this for me. As a chronic over-sharer and expert over-thinker my brain feels fit to burst so I have created cosy corner to share my wild, probably quite self indulgent thoughts and ideas.
